It’s certainly an interesting way of doing things. ![]() While Roger’s is told in the third person but is from his perspective, Claire’s sections remain in the first person and are italicized to make it clear that we’re switching to a different perspective within the same chapter. Mixed into the chapter is a little of Claire’s point of view. Somehow, Claire is in the present day and has a grownup daughter. We start with Roger Wakefield’s point of view, as he meets Claire and Brianna. This is the first book to offer a story from two different views. Dragonfly in Amber can be a little confusing when you first read, but it soon all starts to make sense. We’re kicking off the week with the first chapter for the second Outlander book.
